Digital campaigns are the best, but social media campaigns will run you R10 000 and up a month, and Google will gladly take R100 000 and over every month.

Your best free option is direct mailing or classic PR ... things you do to get the word out directly to people you think will be interested. At least it's mostly free, assuming you can write and send bulk emails yourself.

If you don't have a huge marketing budget, take it slow and grow organically.

Thanks
I am willing to try anything (not any any thing) to get the word out there.

Direct mailing without consent will land you in big trouble soon. You need to build a subscriber base where consent is given, and the onus is on you to protect that data at all times.

Optimal SEO is the best and cheapest route, but it takes R&D. I know many people who claim to have the best SEO only to analyse it and end up being disappointed. Keyword clustering services are very accessible today and it works.

Social campaigns aren’t really worth it any more than I don’t believe the target audience algorithms are always relevant given the geographic. Ads targeted at me is also way out as I have noted. This doesn't mean that you can create your own group pulling in organic interests.

So, techniques, good blogs can be read on ahrefs,

https://ahrefs.com/blog/

there are also some good gems being discussed in there.

Anyway, I don't like discussing these type of things as it is part of what I do for a living, internally.

Generally try to engage in as many mediums as possible, digital engagement is for the most part free. Blogging, vlogging, podcasting, etc.

Also... it is a long-term strategy. Too many people expect immediate results. Pending on your niche, it can take anything from a week to months or forever. R&D is the only bridge.

Research and development. If you are going to have a technical SEO strategy it sort of becomes a full-time function of the business. SEO isn't fire and forget, it needs to be fed and adapted, basically your SEO needs to stay relevant, but that would also mean that your content needs to stay relevant. When it comes to product building it is a bit different as the product stays static, but your SEO is competing with the same product in the same and different market hence you need to adjust for what and where users are searching for.

It gets more technical once you start to divide your market into personae, each of whom has a targeted SEO strategy. Then it is more question of who is the user than what the user wants in a given location.

If you are starting out you need to learn from your organic traffic, who they are and what they need respectively. Analytic tools if appropriately set up is good for this. For understanding your market you need social groups, but you will have to engage with them and not forget about them, ask questions, give feedback, post relevant content linking to your website, etc.

I know many with little traffic like to boost it with a competition, but it is not always viable, as competition subscribers does not automatically translate into organic traffic or users. Once you have a good foundation, give-aways helps with user retention and brand awareness.

There are walls of strategies, and if you are doing it alone, you need to find a strategy which best works for you as a person. SEO, and content, is nothing other than a sales pitch, but digital, and needs to be better than that of the competition, in the digital world you are always involved with the customer so it is best to understand the customer and you need to find the method you are most comfortable with.

Link building, relevancy have always been critical to search engine algorithms. There are cheats... but if you are into that then it is best to stick to the 'white hat' methods like the skyscraper technique, but it does not always produce the desired results hence I tend to shy away from it.
