Hi all the people at Sentech:

We all know there is quite a bit of interest in your product.

We also know that when a new tower is up and running, you would appreciate to have as many new users as fast as possible to use that tower.

Please assist those interested in using your service but not within your coverage area by offering a free notification service when a registered address gets coverage.

You have this wonderful GIS tool. All that is required when one clicks on a spot to check coverage is a new box requesting where to send an e-mail notice when the MyWireless network covers that address.

Just think about it: A new tower gets live, you send some e-mails to people who are already interested, and and potential clients know immediately about it.

South Africa needs World Class Broadband at World Competitive Prices.

Great idea

but

It's probably going to take some time for them to get that up and running, they're still in their infancy stage [;)]

Hmmm, i wonder if any girls with big bewbies work for support desk @ Sentech

You really need to get out more [;)]

Wif my 127cm rear projection arriving today, i doubt I'll be getting out more ;)

I hope this gets through as my connection seems to be rather intermittent today (Sunningdale, Durban, base 102)!!! [V]
Getting back to the topic...I wonder how long its going to take for someone to start advertising a service testing for MyWireless coverage ?

On http://www.nowire.co.za/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=164# it says
<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">If you have no coverage, please complete the attached form and we will contact you as soon as coverage reaches you.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

But if you look at the other links on that page, it becomes clear that that part of the site is all sales BS (i.e. under construction).

From my rooftop experiments I get the idea that with a high enough tower to give you LOS + decent antenna, you can get MUCH farther than the map says.
