He already got a reduced fine from the JSE last year, then this R475m fine from the FSCA.What a stupid thing to do. He wasn't even facing jail time.
He could have appealed, got the fine reduced, and still lived a cushy lifestyle on the interest of the rest of his money.
People get so caught up in things that they can't see the bigger picture.

He didn't act alone, he was just the face of it. Everyone involved must face the music...People are sick in their heads. Verkromp. They just want someone in jail. No matter who.
If the fraudster is dead, he is dead. Easy as that

Sorry for everyone who lost their investments in Steinhoff.
I still remember it.
I never bought individual shares except for some light gambling level shares.
After a few years I decided to rather buy in some well-regarded, stable companies, so I bought some Steinhoff among others. This was less than a month before his antics came to light. Damnit.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Karma is a bitch. He may not have killed anyone himself but his actions were devastating and will be felt for many many many years to come. He did well by logging outClassical Justice. An eye-for-an eye
To all who's who lost everything and committed suicide, the divorces, breaking up of families, mental diseases caused, pensioners who have to skip meals or medication, those who lost their homes internationally, his actions justifies his removal from our midst's. This caused uneccesary chaos, betraying freinds and family, living a lie, all because one man wanted to become a big shot maverick in the limelight, his Machiavellian schemes, fudging with the numbers was all worth it?
Go and read the many books which shows that he was the classic narcissistic, who had no remorse at all, who cared only about himself and no idea of consequences, he had plenty of time to take him self out, but the thought of his grandiose personality in orange overalls..... he could'nt fathom it, and thats caused him to kill himself, not remorse. He was going to be a burden on the my tax rands anyway. I would like to see his close family kicked to the street penniless, then all is going to okay, case closed.
Go ask the thousands of victims who cried themselves to sleep nights on end if this is not justice, they will tell you they wanted him to suffer, but this is second best prize. I can never be the ultimate judge, but even those who dont believe in hell, want him to suffer in hell.
Nog n doeie skelm
Why can't these criminalANCMK Party cvnts such as Zuma do us these favors?
From what I understand, I have multiple body doubles. I am always somewhere, yet never there. Every now and then someone would tell me something new about me. People should slow down with the liquor; it makes their eyes wet.
Though I have also heard that Jooste travelled about, perhaps Spizz is right.

I’d say his home is at least 2km from Kwaaiwater
Also, I drove past his house about an hour after the news broke and there was no activity at all around it.
You must be a financial wizz or move in some very high circles, even higher than Christo Wiese as he didnt "hear the rumours" to sell and lost billions of dollars.Yep, I luckily sold off when the first rumours started rearing its head. But, yeah, I know of quite a few people, even here on MyBB, who went all in 'buying the dip' as the shares plummeted. Some even bought a lot more when it hit its lows. Unfortunately, it never recovered and many people lost a lot of money. Investment companies and pension funds too did not listen to the warnings and rumours and ignored it. Many of these companies bought Billions more while the shares tumbled.
Yup, like the Zondo commission which cost us a billion rands to tell us that yea, there was State Capture.People are sick in their heads. Verkromp. They just want someone in jail. No matter who.
Definitely cheaper that way.If the fraudster is dead, he is dead. Easy as that
