Married people

has she tried using a fertility calculator ?

:p FTFY

@ Syntax, everyone is different. Some women get pregnant in the first month after going off birth control and some can take a bit of time. For me it took four months the first time.

No, seek professional help ASAP. We live in stressful times where a lot of factors affect the inability to fall pregnant.

no he should have patience and keep trying

yes stress and schit has an impact but he doesnt need to go visit doctors and krap

it took us over a year to get pregnant after my wife went off the pill, but it was worth the wait! Its a life changer, but in all the right ways

The factory is closed here so no birth control required (got enough kids now). Just hope we're not that 1-2 %.

My wife also had some fertility issues. It took almost three years for her to fall pregnant with the first, and 10 years with the second!

We didn't use condoms. Wifey was on the pill. We decided to try for a baby and she fell pregnant about a week after she stopped talking the pill. We were lucky. A good friend of mine is struggling to fall pregnant after more than a year of not taking the pill. Some people are lucky, others not so lucky...

Who is this "gert" you are referring to? :D

I trusted my wife with birth control.
I definitely trust her not to cheat. Now we are trying for a child, and it isnt happening as fast as we hoped.
I look back at all those times I was hoping she wasnt pregnant when we were dating and get quite angry with myself. Irrational, but it is what it is
You need to have her checked out.

A buddy of mine and his wife were in a similar situation. When they eventually went to the doctors they found out she's infertile. They're together 7 years this year and they're still busy with fertility treatment or whatever its called.

thanks all, she moved off the injection around august last year and changed to the pill.
Went off the pill November.

I think we will go see someone in the next month or so if nothing is happening

The injection usually stays in your system for 12 months. Rather wait for August before you start panicking.

That's only 5 months, I wouldn't get too worried till you start getting to the year kind of timeframe. Good luck.

maybe you should try getting into school uniform and getting busy on the back seat of your car. i hear it's a sure-fire way to fall pregnant. /jk
i agree with the other posters though, modern life is stressful. at least if you go see somebody, you'll know where the problem lies and will understand your options rather than getting stressed about it not happening.
good luck :)

edit: i forgot the injection lasted a year :(
