Marvel Studios - Moon Knight.

Really enjoyed the first episode - I like that it felt for a while like a crazy psychological thriller. Episode 2 was fine, the comedy moments fall a bit flat for me, especially when he got the white suit. Don't really see any similarity to Deadpool.

Costume and tongue in cheek comedic nature is what gives me that impression.

Oscar Isaak is damn good in this. There's an unmistakable similarity to Deadpool.
Yeah Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke make the show.
May Calamawy's character is a bit meh though. Especially in her deus ex machina usage.

Curious if the showrunners can buck the trend of not ruining a show after a good opening.

Interest dwindling a bit. Im finding Stevens voice almost comical when he's the one stuck inside...like it's a parody of itself. The 'courtroom' scene with all the avatars present was meh. His fighting is also a bit lame. Haven't watched the latest one yet.

...would be great if they somehow referenced En Sabah Nur!

Seeing as how Professor X is in the new Dr. Strange movie. Which essentially brings mutants into the MCU.

Yeah those "gods" were a joke, "Oh alright we believe your walking in the sand story. It's not as if we have any higher power to discern truth or check for a dig site". The whole rewinding the night sky was just a gimmick for special effect and to force the plot. No investigation into this world wide spectacle by any of the existing forces or any cameo appearance to make mention of it

Episode 4 was ok'ish in an Indiana Jones kinda way and the fighting scene against creature was also meh. The asylum setting was predictable as it featured in on of the comic arcs. That hippo though...

I watched the first 3 and am still more confused than ever....

Im skipping the rest. :(

I wonder how this is going to dove-tail into the MCU...? I still reckon they should throw in the name of En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse for those of you who have ever read X-Men comics...especially The Age of Apocalypse).
And with Professor X being made part of the MCU, and therefore that version of the X-Men, we can ignore the abomination that was Oscar Isaac's horrible version of the character.

Therefore, there would be 2 references to mutants coming.

After the last episode all I'm left with is Meh. Guess they did not in fact buck the trend.

I've also lost interest.
Well lucky for you it was only ever intended for a limited run. Or so they say when a series doesn't do as well as they hope.

Now go watch Dr. Strange 2 for a laugh and a cry

Pitch Meeting is the shiz.
It's over to quickly though :P
So I'll still watch my longer form discussions and then I can check if he covers all the major points.
Who knows perhaps he also watches some of those guys? Or the gripes are more universal than the studios care to admit.
