Im looking for a gigabyte Q2532 laptop, marveltec's the cheapest I've found link (R6000) anyone dealt with them before? hows the after sales service?

If you know were i can find this cheaper anywhere else, or a similar spec'd one for a budget of around R5000-7000 let me know. Mainly going to be using this for campus, but if it can do some light gaming then its a bonus( q2532 has nVidia GeForce GT540M 1GB Graphics)

Not sure about the store but the laptop you linked to has the intel standard HD graphics the version with the nvidia card is here in their store for R7099

They say they are in Durban and have a walk in centre - if you are there go check it out. If not stick to someone who is well known for online sales (like pc-direct.co.za in CT & JB) or go to one of the big budget retail stores and pick it up there. Saving R500 and then having major problems dealing with warranty stuff isn't worth it. BTW also check out Lenovo Edge series, they look pretty good if you want decent graphics.

Oh thanks, thought they just made a mistake, because i haven't seen that laptop anywhere else without the nvidia card.

Could you give me a model number of the lenovo that i can check out, or links. I checked on pc direct(for the lenovo edge series) and all they had in my budget was an i3 with Mobile Intel Integrated GFX

Ask them for a Lenovo Y560 if there are any in stock, pretty beefy machine for good prices, but I went on to Pinnacle' site and didn't see any there, so it may be they have been discontinued (replacement is the Y570 and with FX rate going up I see the prices are not so friendly).

It really depends on your budget, the Z series are also profiled to having better graphics. http://shop.lenovo.com/za/en/products/laptops/ should give you an idea.

If you want more bang for your buck you can always go with Acer or one of the cheaper brands, but I for one prefer not to get stuck with issues later on. Here are a few Lenovo options - get pc-direct (or whoever) to quote you on
