Mass effect direct3d

Hey guys! I just recently got mass effect 2 but every time I try and play it says direct 3d failed to initialize. Please restart. Anyone got any ideas. Thanks

Try install the latest version of directx and graphic card drivers. Does it say "The following dll is missing" or something. if that is the case get the latest direct x else maybe make sure its using OpenGL in the settings

Check on the Game DVD - there should be a DirectX Folder on there. Simply run the Setup.exe - Reboot your PC and test again. Like Poffle said, updated Video / Audio drivers can also help allot
