Mass Effect PC drm..

Howdy,

I really want to buy Mass Effect, and I'm willing to transport my pc so I can do the first time online activation. But then I hear it wants to re-check every 10 days!!
Is there any way to get around this? Are there any cracks for the game? (I will be buying the game but I don't have internet at my place)

They dropped the 10 day activation a while before release. I also cracked mine as I thought they didn't at the time and didn't look forward to activating it again and again every time. You can get a crack from gamecopyworld.

I wish they'd start giving us options for verification, include both a simple disc check and online check, then let us choose which we wish to use.

Personally I'd go with periodic online checks, 'cos I hate putting in discs and dislike cracks for a number of reasons.

With Dragon age they do give you the option. If you buy the retail copy and register your copy with the ea download manager you can donwload the digital version for free (minus SA bandwith costs).

With ME once they released the revoke tool evertyhing works fine. Had they released this tool with the game it wouldn't have been as big a problem as it was. Still prefer the normal disc check for retail games.

I must add that I have never had a moments hastle with the EA authentication but both Steam and Impulse have given me grief.

Never had any issues with steam or ea, but hate games for windows live. Lost all my save games when reformatting for batman arkham asylum and street figher 4.

With steam and EA it was just copy the files back and everything works, with gfwl I get the nice corrupted save game message when copying the files back.
