National DSL fault(s). DSL connecting but no traffic flow or very high latency. Issue related to back haul lines with no traffic flowing across the lines.

Ballito had an outage the next morning after 9am some time but it was not the entire Ballito though. Lasted about 3hrs.

I'm in the Cowies Hill/Pinetown area and internet has been gone for >2 weeks

Contacted TelkomZA and telkom tech came to house today

Unable to restore DSL connectivity
Has confirmed the problem is somewhere at the base station or perhaps somewhere close to there.
Been on the phone for last couple of hours with telkom central talking to all sorts of different guys trying to figure out whats wrong.

As ToxicBunny said, seems something happened that has nuked a lot of cables in the area. Will wait and see ... telkom techy promised to come back this afternoon....

Call has been logged since the 9th, and they've given a tentative restoration date of tomorrow...

From tomorrow I will start turning into a real pain, and PMing TelkomZA
