Massive latency jump please assist

Currently due to geographic restrictions the best internet option i have is EDGE via MTN Data card. I use this to play World of Warcraft on european servers and have adjusted to play at latencies of about 900ms. My issue is that since last week my latency has exploded and now makes the game unplayable. I have searched and searched for solutions and have come across something that perhaps these forumites might be able to confirm/deny or offer solution. Apparently WoW has changed their traffic patterns and this is causing ISPs to identify it as P2P and not gaming.

Is there anything that I can do about this? I have no other options for fixed broadband and i fall outside the range on 3g/HSDPA towers near me. Either i get this sorted or i am simply out of luck. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Also had this issue on MWeb uncapped. The only thing that has worked for me is to reduce MTU to 960 on PC's running WoW. You can do this with TCPOptimizer (Google it) Just make sure you adjust the right interface, the one that connects you to the internet.
 
I tried that, No luck. It doesnt pick up my mobile connect device in the device listings to edit. Only my network cards. Anyone else got a sugestion? Or perhaps an MTN rep could give me some feedback?
