If Multichoice agreed to renew everyone's SABC tv licence annually there would be more revenue for both of them to share.

It will never work out, MultiChoice will likely have to cutback on content in order to retain DStv consumers.

SABC and DSTV should merge and form a coalition. Same as DA and ANC have done. It gets the job done

Some think they don't care, just want the platform for French content influence in Africa. Some think it won't matter, they will know how to fix it.

Will be what it will be, as long as current management are given a leash.

This loss is probably what they'll use to finalize the acquisition and yeah I can imagine them possibly making MultiChoice manage french speaking markets as that's one way shareholders can make money.
