Masterchef Australia (2018) Warning: SPOILERS

Gordon appears rather toned down in the 2 eps he's appeared in so far. A lot better than his dick self on the US show dumping people's cooks into dustbins and what not, here he was actually mentoring and coaching some of the chefs in that first mystery box.

He plays to the audience, masterchef Australia has always been a more uplifting show.
 
Anyone else thinks that fat chic is playing on sympathy and some of her results may have been influenced by it?

Yeah, honestly I was a bit hesitant about him being a guest judge. But like you said he turned down his dickishness and seemed to be there to support and encourage rather than to attack and cause conflict. I read later that apparently he thinks the Masterchef AU contestants are amazing and frequently praise them. I wonder (and hope) that he's learned it's because the three AU judges focus on constructive, positive and upbuilding interactions rather than the destructive drama-creating interactions they have in the American version.
