So there has been A LOT of YouTube videos on the performance of these two beasts, and the conclusion seems to be that Huawei has caught up in a lot of areas and even surpassed Samsung in others (much faster charging, camera features etc...)

What do you guys think? Has Huawei caught up and has Samsung become a little complacent?

Here are some of the videos I've seen comparing the two devices

Charging test

Speed test

Battery Drain tests

Benchmark test

Nice, but somehow I do not think Huawei will convince me to move to their brand. I am extremely happy with my Note 9 and its performance.

Agree

Note 9 is just perfect for my daily use.

I love the S Pen... But in tech... On paper Huawei really pushed this time around... I can't wait to see the Mate 20 pro and see it is what they claim it is

The Mate 20 Pro is impressive, just that Mali GPU that is behind but does not look like something one will notice in real life usage.

Why do they all call "Opening of Apps" a speedtest? The only thing that tests is the load time from internal storage to memory. They should just call it internal Storage read rate and show the actual read rates

to those who have the device.. please share your experience with the food calories function. How precise is it?

Another battery comparison, this time comparing:

OnePlus 6T
iPhone XR
iPhone X S Max
Mate 20 Pro
Galaxy Note9

Again the Mate 20 Pro shows its battery muscle:

Santa arrived :)

Is the Mate 20 Pro a dual sim device?

Not through Vodacom or MTN.

I have a review sample which is dual - but through Telkom (and I think Cell C?) they are as well.

I must say this is my 1st dual SIM device and I'll never go back to single. I've been able to save hundreds of Rand everything month because of it! (and now I see why Vodacom hate dual SIMs ;)
