Hi please assist me I have a confusion. In Jan I took maternity leave at work and applied for the maternity UIF at the department of labour because my company is paying half of my salary I get paid R5500 monthly . So now in Jan and Feb i ddnt get paid, I then went to the department to check why I ddnt get paid I ddnt get any straight answer to why. Then today I received a payment of R475. So my question is shouldn't they pay me the other half I'm not getting from my work. How is it calculated. Please help.

Astroturf thank you for your link I've just got answered. It says the first payment will be small. Then the larger amount will follow so now I get it thankx a lot.

No worries,

Both times my wife had a 3rd party handle the UIF stuff. Way less stress on us that way. But yea, first payment always took forever and was tiny.

Forwarding this onto the Missus too. Thanks Astroturf.
