And now by the time I am done with this excercise my airtime will be below R189.00 probably. Grrrrr

No, I charge my prepaid sim with exactly R189 (from Standard Bank's website) and then buy a 500MB bundle and have 0.00 balance. That way I don't lose any money when the bundle runs dry. Then I do the whole thing again.
