I've watched the trilogy more than 10 times or more over the years. Like my other favorites Lord of the rings, 300(the first 1 only).Warcraft too many good ones to mention.I have no idea what I watched.
I annually give the original trilogy a re-watch, but I can safely say this one will never be watched again.
Even the best things get old eventually. 007, Mission Impossible, Star Treks (original 30000 movies), Harry Potter, ... done with all now I think.I've watched the trilogy more than 10 times or more over the years. I watched star trek next generation so many times over, the full series + the Star Gate Universe also a fav, the second season episode 1 is the best of the series. I see Expanse season 6 available.Even the best things get old eventually. 007, Mission Impossible, Star Treks (original 30000 movies), ... done with all now I think.
lies! Slytherin forever! Btw... best trekkie still is TOS.Even the best things get old eventually. 007, Mission Impossible, Star Treks (original 30000 movies), Harry Potter, ... done with all now I think.
Blasphemy! Kirk was a peacock and not a very good one.Btw... best trekkie still is TOS.
Political correctnessThe Matrix franchise is going the same way as the Star Wars & Star Trek franchise is going.
I suppose this is what happens when actuaries have creative authority over sequel/prequels
It's not that for me. It's like the movies/shows are produced more in line with some successful commercial recipe as opposed to tell a good story.Political correctness
I think you've misread the complaints / too much Twitter if you think PC is the issue with M4. It's just straight up kak movie making.Political correctness
Just wait for them blaming the fans with generic insults trending as anti-woman / anti-tran / anti-new /...I think you've misread the complaints / too much Twitter if you think PC is the issue with M4. It's just straight up kak movie making.
Previous post? Your last post rated it 7/10Prior to watching The Matrix 4, I only read a review which encapsulated a styled demonic concept or two, the right and capitalism. I was rather surprised by the post-credits scene, in true Marvel style when this was bluntly stated, going back to the 20-30 minutes phase in the movie I have mentioned in my previous post,
“Face reality, people. Movies are dead. Games are dead. Narrative? Dead. Media is nothing but neuro-trigger response and viral conditioning.”
Movies, games and media being used as a vehicle to promote other socio concepts which are opponents to the above-mentioned, and yes, the right also uses those vehicles, but they don't drive them as hard. I am rather curious why Lana Wachowski made mention to this in a post-credits scene when the movie is supposed to promote... I linked to a Vox article which provides a much better explanation than I ever could. Yes, I do get the cat videos part in the literal sense, but personally I think Lana is a pretty spectacular troll, she got some in a tight squeeze. You see, I believe the producers expected the response, some here would argue that some movies are dead, some games are dead, because narratives, likewise with media.
I am not too big on the L and R divide, I think it is all 'nonsense' to separate people. Ultimately, as a political and socio tool, the more people on the one or the other side, the better equipped law and policy-makers are with the popular opinion or public interest.
No, I am not reading much into it, but I am intrigued. Just beware, that the producers made a call on more Matrix themed cat videos, hence The Catrix, so do expect some variety pending whether people will take to the call or not, but it could also allude to derivative The Matrix work. I don't believe the IP is done.
Anyhow.

Too many movies right now are “about trauma.” The Matrix Resurrections actually does the work.
The Matrix Resurrections’ take on trauma therapy is more nuanced than it seems at first.www.vox.com
but some readers should beware. I read these articles to better understand people.
Personally, I would say that people must go into this movie open-minded, but a message is aggressively pushed online which may cloud people's mind going into this. The triggers are being set up, the viewers are made aware that those triggers are there, and that those same triggers existed in the existing trilogy.
Anyhow, it is very hard to determine whether this movie is a success or not, because many are arguing these merits on the day-and-date release theatrical domestic gross income, which isn't the only metric any more now with day-and-date release streaming media coexisting. WarnerMedia will need to release the real numbers. I am quite sure that The Matrix 4 was made to branch the IP into other derivatives, kinda what Disney is doing with Star Wars /cough. WarnerMedia also happens to broadcast Star Wars IP, hence I am certain they have their models in place. Will it be a success, only time will tell.
production quality alone is a serious let downI think you've misread the complaints / too much Twitter if you think PC is the issue with M4. It's just straight up kak movie making.
Quite sure it wasn't the frequent flyer as with Basic Instinct. The Matrix Resurrections’ Most Paused Moments
