I hoping someone in here will have some advise or help for me.

A month ago I took my faulty Gigabyte GT550 TI GPU in to the Walmer branch due to a non-functional mini HDMI port and the card resetting under minor loads.
The shop Manager informed me it was a local supplier and should take no more than 10 days for either a refund or a replacement card.

10 days go by with no feedback from the store so I go in to ask for feedback face 2 face.
This is where the problems start.
Up until the warranty claim I have had great service from Matrix.
That is not the case now.
A month has gone by with not even as little as a phone call with some feedback.
When I call them or go to the shop they just give me ****ty attitude and tell me they don't know when I'm getting a refund.
First they told me Gigabyte were trying to source me another 550TI which is also a problem as I don't want a replacement GPU from the same range because it will have the same issues.

2 weeks ago I called and they told me I had to wait for a refund that would probably be the next day.
After a few more calls due to no feedback I have now lost hope.
They Manager and his associate give me no feedback and just keep telling me they have no feedback or a date.
I ask them to phone for feedback and they never get back to me.

Went as far as telling the guy it was unacceptable for a warranty to take a month if it's a local supplier, also proceeded to mention that by rights the supplier could take a year to refund me which he sarcastically responded, "I don't think it will take THAT long."

Bad service from a store I have spent over R10000 at.
What does it take to get good service.
But more importantly, how the hell am I supposed to get my refund from these guys?

But why Matrix WH? There are much better/cheaper and hassle free alternatives.

Be aware that option also has its problems as evidences by the whole rampage gaming thread somewhere around here.

If he just sticks to these few he should have no future problems.

I now know why my warranty was not being honored.
The walmer shop has gone out of business.
Loraine shop has kindly called gigabyte and confirmed my card was in fact replaced but was never collected by the Walmer staff.
Typical.

At least Loraine branch are sorting it out for me.

I had the the same issue with the Crescent branch just before they went out of business. I had to wait out the full 30-day money back refund period.

As much as I like Gigabyte mobo's I've learned that their GPU's are not up to scratch. My GT430 with Dual Fan + Heatsink still occasionally overheats.

Do you have a 3rd party program installed to adjust the fan speed?

Erm I would dispute that, especially with their new windforce 3x cooling. All of their mid/high end gpu cooling systems are superb. Maybe check the airflow in your case/apply thermal paste to your gpu.
