Anyway, on topic: I don't think Shaik was actually found guilty of bribing Zuma, but of trying to bribe Zuma via and on behalf of a third party - the whole argument by Shaik's legal team seemed to revolve around no bribes were paid, and the money paid to Zuma by Shaik was as part of his running Zuma's financial affairs. This whole thing is a lot more complicated than people seem to realise - and that is likely entirely by design.
