Maverick 4k box remote control issue

Funny the thread got magically deleted. Can't make this stuff up lol.
We are talking in loops because I’ve already answered this and you’ve replied with the same thing. Twice
 
This is pretty weird to me, I’ve had one of these boxes for years and never noticed that behaviour … ended up having one remote break and ordered another, still no issue like that.

I wonder if this isn’t an accessibility setting in the software which got activated somehow? I’d recommend trying a full factory reset of the box.

Once you’ve re-paired the remote, it might be resolved. Failing that, you can only try get another replacement remote (it seems Takealot doesn’t stock the replacement Maverick remotes anymore).
tbh my wife uses it mostly so i can't be sure what might have happened

@Smiggles do you know if Apple services are down or something?

Sitting with my kids and trying to get a game they want on Apple Arcade and just nothing is happening. Maybe another reboot ?
