You not going to get better - I get the same around 50kb/s. I just use it for emergencies. You cannot rely on their internet service full time.

There is more to it than the maximum theoretical speed. Things like how saturated the tower is and how much traffic is flowing along their backhaul links affect it. I don't think they will ever be a force to be reckoned with in the Internet space. From what they have said it doesn't really seem like the care about Internet access at this point in time.
