I just want to confirm something. I am on AfriHost, 4mb 150GB line, my max line speed, according to the Telkom website, is 10Mb. Currently on speedtest.net I am getting about 2.5 to 3.5 download speed.

My question is, if I upgrade to a 10MB line will my speed increase or is the speed test results indicative of the speeds I can expect?

login your router andc post your line stats

so we can see if u can get full 10mbps

u can exspect around 8mbps speedtests or 1mb/s downloads

If you are on a 4mbps Telkom DSL line with Afrihost data, then yes; your maximum connectivity speed is 40mbps (though this is limited by how fast your actual physical line speed is).

If you are on Afrihost 4mbps bundled capped DSL, then you simply need to go to https://www.afrihost.com/site/product/capped_dsl_bundles?src=website_nav and select "Up to 10mbps 75 + 75GB" which is R668 (R120 higher than your current 4mbps). This is cheaper than a separate Telkom line and Afrihost data.
