Maxthon Browser

Hi everyone

Just now I came across this lesser known browser - Maxthon.

I found the browser when I saw it ranking the best in HTML5 capabilities.

I downloaded it and have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the browser. I agree that it is much faster than Chrome and Firefox. It has great features that are just a click away!

Well, I might have found a new browser for myself.

Anyone else using it? What are your views?

Yes, from what I read it was built on the same engine IE was built on, but comparing any version of IE with Maxthon there is no comparison for me at this stage. Maxthon beats IE hand down.

Used in way back in 2001/2002--it is faster than IE, but not sure about Chrome/FF/Opera.
I also found it too cluttered, way too much in the UI.
If you like Maxthon, the give Avant Browser a try..also IE based; there is a Gecko based beta version as well, and a hybrid (gecko/mosaic engine/webkit) in development--switch browser engine on the fly.
