After tonight's international access outage. I phone and after 7 identity verification point checks (I guess in future they'll need blood samples before they can take a service call ), they confirm my suspicion.

I ask for a change of email address for outage notifications, mainly because the call centre person asked why I haven't received a notification.

He says its fine he'll update my email address, but later replies with the following:

Good Day,

Regarding your request to change your email address for
notifications on our system to the one you specified
telephonically, I have spoken to our management team and
unfortunately you will not be able to have that mailing
address changed as there is an option to view the bulletin
board on www.sentech.co.za by selecting My Wireless and
then selectiong "bulletin board", where you will be able to
view any notifications and/or outages.

Once again we would like to thank you for calling Sentech
Technical Support.

Kind Regards

Maybe someone can tell me how one switches on a light bulb without electricity?

This was 10:47pm.

As far as i know, Sentech stopped sending out e-mail notifications and, it's now up to the user to check on their site

And since the last post on their BB is Aug 22, 2006 - 08:26 AM, they obviously haven't had any problems in the last week - it's all a frigment of our imaginations!
