Mayweather-McGregor fight

Since this looks to be set for the end of the year, what are your thoughts on this

Keeping in mind Freddy Roach will be coaching Mayweather and said that some of his guys beat up McGregor in sparring earlier this week

Well, it is a boxing bout. Not many here may agree, but Mayweather is the best boxer in his class as a tactician. He will out box McGregor. MMA is a whole other story.
 
I agree. McG in his own right is also a very good boxer and I think if it will be an upset it will only be because McG is so forward and not tactical.
 
I thought this was a hoax?

Anyway, if other professional boxers can't get one over Mayweather, what chance does an MMA dude have? Macgregor would be dumb to take this fight unless the purse is like crazy money.
 
McG unfortunately will get burned against Mayweather. Setting himself to fail, with a ton of cash.

Cant imagine he has a chance in hell, regardless of who trains him. As much as I loath Mayweather, he will take this one easily.
 
LOL i cannot stand MW and want to see him fail, but I dont think its happening. At least not against the MMA freak
 
No chance Mayweather loses under the rules of boxing.
He'll do as he usually does by using his movement and defensive skills, and taking the unanimous points decision.
One of the few fighters that makes boxing look like a non-contact sport.

Mayweather reads his opponents better than others. He has many times closed in on his opponents, more so when he was still in his prime.

Sure, but what I'm more getting at, I guess, is that he's an acquired taste.
You couldn't pay me to sit through one of his "fights".

I suppose it is up to the trainer, he has Roach now which may channel some entertainment through Mayweather.
 
Conor got handled by Roach's boxers so he has no chance in hell for this.Its a big money fight that is all,dont read too much into the results because it wont prove anything.

What upsets me is the people on the internet that's saying its Boxing vs MMA, how the fck is this Boxing vs MMA, this is Boxing vs Boxing. If it was Boxing vs MMA, Conor would beat the **** out of MW, but its not, its boxing.....CM is a idiot for taking this fight, he will always be remembered as the guy who got his @ss handed to him by MW.

Edit. If they want to even the odds, why not say kicking is allowed but no takedowns/submissions. Now there will be a evenly fought contest. CM far superior kicker, and MW the best boxer in the world, probably a 100 times better striker.......

OT:

I'm rather waiting on Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II on 9 July, than seeing McGregor dropped early.

That why i'm saying make it a kickboxing bout. I would still favor FM but CM chances will go from 0% to at least 45% of winning.

This McG is a decent boxer but no where near the level of Mayweather, I think this is just about the purse
