Hi there

The joint or whatever it's called that keeps my sun visor in place has become very loose and so my sun visor never stays in the upright positions it's meant to. So when it's meant to be out of my way, it hangs down and is irritating and when I place it against my windscreen, it hangs down to cover half the window which is obviously not good since I can barely see the road.

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement of decent quality but not an unreasonable price. Porters Auto here in Cape Town has told me it will be approximately R1,000 for the sun visor and excluding labour to fit it. I don't have a problem with that but obviously if I can get a decent one and pay R1,000 including labour, I will.

Thanks in advance and in case you hadn't realized, I stay in Cape Town.

A scrap yard is probably your best bet, if you don't mind cleaning it up before you fit it.

Didn't you know that the Mazda has a built in redundancy meter? When the sun visor collapses it means that it's time to trade it in...;) :p
