What would be the book value of a Mazda etude (323) 2003 model with about 70 000km?

I've got no idea what the engine capacity is. Are there various models in the Etude range?

The etude and 323 isnt the same car...

The 323 is the Ford Tonic equivilent or I think also called the Mazda Midge or Sting? If Im not mistaken... The Etude is a bigger car... Think its now the Mazda 6? The 323 was a smaller boxy car with straight lines, where as the Etude is a rounder bigger car with curves...

The 323/Tonic was also the base for the Ford Bantam bakkies (The sharp nose one) I believe they came out in 1.3 and 1.6 carburators and later a 1.6i... The Etude I have no idea, think that might actually be a 2.0l engine

Ofcourse I could be wrong and the Etude actually took over from the 323 later on... But Ive always seen the 323 as an entry-level car and the Etude as a more luxurious car...

But then again... The Mazda Soho (121) was infact entry-level, was around 1998, looked like the first Ford Fiesta... So the 323 should be a bigger car which then could maybe just be the Etude aswell :P

Pictures?

Just to set it straight... In SA the cars were not named the same as everywhere else the 323 is the 3 that we have now(internationally).
It had many names 323, Familia, Protégé, Axela, Lazer, Allegro, Activa, Etude to name a few, the list goes on and on and on... :) Mazda had a bit of an identity crisis

From new to old(in SA) its the:
3
Etude(1.6, 1.8 & 2.0) ....... Internationally you could get Diesel, 2.0turbo etc even MazdaSpeed versions
Astina(1.8 4door coupe of Etude) ....... Internationally you could get 1.5 and 1.8turbo
midge
sting
323

Dont know the bookvalues, rule with Mazdas... Keep in mind they are very durable & reliable but they lose value quickly so 2nd hand is a steal. Pick it up as dirt cheap as possible in good condition and u cant go wrong.

Word to the wise: I have personally knows someone who had no end of hassles with the Etude - over 40k total spend on fixing rubbish and obviously the time and heartache... if you are considering buying then consider that a warning.
