Mazda SA after sales experience

Hi All

I'm looking at purchasing a Mazda CX5 or CX3 (launching November 2015).

After sales service has always been of importance to me. I have owned Opel (2010 OPC), VW (2011 G6 GTI) and now BMW (2013 F21 116i). I had a nightmare with after sales service on the Opel (Reeds). VW was average and BMW has been great for the last two years - quick bookings, courtesy car, etc.

Anyone currently owning or has owned a Mazda care to comment of the after sales services.

Additionally, thoughts on the CX5?

While I can't comment on service centres in CA, the wife has a CX5 and absolutely loves it but it is definitely a soft-roader so do think you'll be able to do rough terrain and testy sand/farm roads.

Does your wife have the 2.0L FWD? That is in the only one I've test driven, and I did feel it was a 'soft-roader'. I'm considering the 2.5L AWD, but haven't yet managed to test drive one yet.

A friend of mine has one and it's been absolutely awesome for her. I was seriously impressed with the specs. Oh, and if Mazda SA's aftersales service is anything like Ford SA - who used to do their servicing - then go for it.

PS: I owned two Mazdas and a Ford before my current Ford - all servicing done by Ford. Not sure how it works now with Mazda being independent.

Yes, she has the 2.0 FWD, the 2.5 AWD wasn't available at the time but then again she doesn't really need the AWD as my Forester is used for all the more challenging tasks.

I see. Regardless, I was highly impressed with the built quality (interior has a significantly 'premium' feel) and road handling.
