I tried to upgrade my iPhoto '11(to the latest version which became available on the internet) on my Macbook Air, but when I restart the program it gets stuck on 93%, of step 5 of 9 when it tries to upgrade the libraries. I tried restarting the laptop and the program a few times, and I've also given it plenty of time(more than an hour).

Currently I don't have any access to try and reload the libraries again, what else can I do?

Thanks
L

The standard advice Apple support gives for this type of problem is to delete the app, empty the trash, re-download the app.

If that doesn't work, download the update directly from the Apple site and then manually update iPhoto.

Yeah - try using something like CleanMyMac or Appzapper to remove all traces of that app, then re-download it.

I did a new install of iPhoto 9.0, then upgraded first to 9.1 then 9.3.....and it still doesn't want to update the library, it gets stuck on exactly the same place. I'm now rebuilding the library manually, only 55gb. On my MB Pro I'm definitely first going to use CleanMy Mac before I attempt to upgrade iPhoto.
