Mbeki and Zuma

Whatever. Zuma is seeking public support for his conspiracy theories. he should go have another shower. he reminds me more and more of an attention seeking baby, and all his actions from the past 2 months reek of it.

Actually now that I think about it, Zuma is trying to create another media frenzy. He is now daily coming out saying stuff in a rather unsubtle attempt to dominate headlines and put the media into a spin. Presidential material indeed....

I don't believe such a high profile and high cost transaction such as the Arms Deal can go through without the authorisation of top Government officials. Zuma was very low in the Government hierachy when the deal was concluded. He's possibly being made the sacrificial lamb in the whole fiasco.

seriously, if what angelo says is true, then JZ is an idiot for being scammed so freaking easily. Well done Thabo for pulling the wool over the entire nation's eyes then. JZ, have another shower, then bring me my machine gun. putz.

Shame kingmonthy, ever heard about the succession debate within the ANC, I am not saying the conspiracy theories are right, but they deserve looking into.

While many may feel that JZ is an uneducated tool, one has to look at the facts - true he never received a formal education, but he did teach himself english, and to grow up to be able to negotiate peace in a volatile country like Burundi, now that takes intelligence

Lack of Schooling does not mean lack of intelligence

If thinking that taking a shower will prevent AIDS isn't proof of a lack of intelligence, I don't know what is.

And like I said, if it is true, why did he sign the letter in the first place?

proof of idiocy perhaps? :D

jz is a putz. nothing he has done in his life would indicate above average intelligence to me. any person with half a brain knows that a shower won't reduce the risk of contracting AIDS. JZ actually happened to head a council dealing with AIDS. the man is a tool, and a very blunt one at that. Also, millions of people are self taught in English.

Just a thought: surely a person who wishes to be a president should at the very least have a couple of degrees under him or her (not honorory degrees just given to him).... Is that too much to ask?

all the letter said was to instruct, Judge Willem Heath, to stop the investigation, if JZ did not know about corruption in the deal, he wouldn't have thought anything of stopping the investigation.

Then again, he might have known and wanted to stop the investigation, we will have to wait and see what transpires in court

when you look at this matter though, and i have for a long time now, no-one involved is or seems clean

He wouldn't be the first un-degreed president in South African history.

@chiskop

with all due respect... the world is experiencing some rather complex problems that I fear could only be solved by extremely gifted and exceptional leaders... leaders who have both the discipline and knowledge afforded them by tertiary study. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

tertiary education provides discipline - hahahaha - with all due respect kingmonty, you need wisdom to lead a country, and even without a tertiary education - JZ did steer Burundi towards peace and democratic elections

BTW - If it's so easy to get honorary degrees, why don't we all have them. these degrees are awarded to people who have performed even better than can be taught at a tertiary institution

I believe you are an educated person, Kingmonty, and i must assume that sometimes you choose to ignore the basics

Whatever man. People who studied at a tertiary institution are more disciplined, especially regarding decision making. JZ did not personally broker the peace deal in Burundi, he was a signatory, and I promise you that signatories very rarely are personally involved. Either way, enough is enough with arguments that go nowhere. I am too busy for this **** to keep arguing the same points over and over. JZ is a moron, idiot and a putz. And I like many others will continue to question his intelligence just because of his behaviour. It will be a sad day if he is ever elected president of South Africa - but then again it would be the perfect conclusion to a rather dismal period of African politics.

Anyway, this whole African idea of wisdom is a whole bucket load of crud. The idea that the "forefathers" are wise is remarkably evident of a rather backward belief, and a dangerously perilous one at that. Wisdom goes hand in hand with knowledge, and knowledge is gained by paying attention. JZ certainly does not in any way possess any of these virtues, especially an ability to pay attention, 'cos if he did, then there would never have been the stupid shower statements.

And that is the last I have to say on this topic in this forum.

The dismal period ended when the colonialists left the continent, when Africa gained independence

That is unbelievably racist to say the least, and since you believe you are superior to everyone else, why don't you go and join a little cult that still dreams of an Arian nation

Wisdom goes hand in hand with knowledge

even the bible makes the difference between Knowledge and Wisdom - knowledge is learnt, wisdom is a gift from God - It's even in the bible - luckily the Europeans brought that to the natives

And that is the last I have to say on this topic in this forum

really and also in all other threads, now that would be really nice

yeah. This place used to be fun, untill assholes like you joined with politically motivated attacks on anyone with a pale skin. Cheers - to all of you.

Hmmm. Why do you think they got rid of the scorpions ? The story goes deeper down the rabbit hole that one might think...
