Johannesburg - President Thabo Mbeki has come out in support of Springbok coach Jake White to keep his job.

Speaking on Monday on Metro FM, he said he couldn't see why White should be replaced.

"It would indeed be odd that, in the moment of victory, which comes after a long period of preparation, you say, 'Thank you for your services, White, goodbye.'

"Here is this team that went right through the tournament without losing a single game. We end up with the rugby player of the year, Bryan Habana, the coach of the year and the team of the year. Drop the coach - why?"

And I would like to thank Capitan Obvious.
Sometimes i'm completely knocked off my feet at the stupitity of the SARU management.

And .. watch how the article becomes a Cosatu advert. Grrrrrr!

I think the question will be posed in earnest to White this week by the Media as to his future plans.

If I was White, I would sell out into the strength, take a sabbatical for 6 months and let the job offers roll in during that period.
Review the situation after that and make an informed decision.
Rugby isn't going anywhere and besides it will be another 4 years to the next World Cup in New Zealand and more than enough time to train a new squad for that event, whichever team he will be coaching.
I personally think White will get an offer from another Country that he cannot refuse. Who knows, maybe The English?
