MC and AL number plate

Was passing two cars yesterday, xxx123MC and xxx123AL, I was wondering if the MC was for Mozambique. Not sure what AL is, Angola?

The first letters do help sometimes, Swaziland are(X)SD, any random alphabet for X. Botswana start with a B.

The last letters usually denotes a province or region so will change.

The last letters of a Botswana plate are serial. Like the old GP plates... Start at BBB then BBC, BBD etc.
