This is the first I have heard of the benefit .. how long has it been zero-rated?

It used to be a benefit of using Telkom until 31 March as far as I know. Nothing about this in the current T's and C's and marketing.

You can't expect much from Telkom.
I went to collect my 500mb voucher the other day that I got when I first signed up for ADSL, the guy said he had no idea what I was talking about.
Once I pressed him for an answer he suddenly said I should bring the dongle in to get 500mb for the next 12 months as part of their current deal.
Hadn't even heard about it.

The samsung Vox 1tb of data, Telkom isn't aware of it and still advise ppl to buy their data despite vox giving a far superior product away for free.
