Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out which exams need to be completed in order to get the MCITP Enterprise Administrator credential. I'm currently busy doing my CCNA to get some good network fundamentals in place, after which I'll be doing the aforementioned exams. Then, if I feel I'm still up for it, I'll be doing the RHCE and finally some ITIL and Virtualization courses.
From what I was able to find on the Microsoft site, it seems that Windows Vista still forms a part of this curriculum. I know however that Windows 7 can also form part of it instead, but I'm unsure of which exam numbers to look for.
As can be seen in this pdf, the roadmap is as follows:
1. 70-640 - TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
...then...
2. 70-642 - TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
...then...
3. 70-643 - TS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration
...then...
4. 70-624 - TS: Deploying and Maintaining Windows Vista Client and 2007 Microsoft Office System Desktops
...or...
70-620 - TS: Windows Vista Configuration
5. 70-647 - PRO: Windows 2008 Enterprise Administrator
My problem lies with the ones that are in bold above. I want to follow the Windows 7 and Office 2010 routes, not the Vista and 2007 routes. That's just stupid as almost all of our clients roll out on the 7 and 2010 systems - Vista and 2007 is mostly skipped.
Can anyone tell me what the replacement exam numbers are? Even better, does someone have an updated roadmap available?
Thanks a mil!
