MDC is considering withdrawing from vote,

This whole run-off election is a massive effort in futility and an utter disgrace that we will support the outcome.
 
It's sad that the world stands by and watches.

They're damned if they do and damned if they don't. But like any sensible country they will not get involved if there isn't any benefit to them.

A better question should be why does South Africa support mugabe.

America really should step in, ZANU-PF is pretty much violating every single human right they can. I doubt they fear the wrath of Mugabe and his animalistic politics.

SA supports Mugarbage because our government wants to see to what extent ZANU-PF can get away with, so they can take notes when our ANCYL leaders kick in.

What could America really do though that would be considered acceptable to the world?

Unless they deployed troops in a full time occupation what would stop zim from fracturing into a further mess of civil war. And if they did leave troops occupying it wouldn't that result in the exact situation they are being lambasted for in Iraq?

In the end a countries citizens have to fight for their country - or leave for another country, like many zims have done so far.
 
Withdrawing now is admitting defeat - and only pushing the problem forward 5 years.
 
This is the worst thing they could do. Bob will just claim victory and everything will go on as usual.

South Africa should go in with the army. Zim only has enough fuel to last for about 2 seconds of war. The problem is mbeki is shoulder deep in bob's a$$.

As opposed to if they run and bob claims victory? Their participation is this "election" is merely for show.
 
I doubt the MDC made such a claim. Wouldn't make sense to admit defeat. Then again, this is Africa... :p

Morgan won the first round so when Bob wins the second, it will confirm to the world he cheated. If morgan just quits then no one can complain.

The MDC needs to find a new front man/woman. Morgan is another Bob in the making. :(

The first "election" was a complete sham and everyone already knows that. The runoff will be even more of a shame. The point is no-one really cared enough to do something after the first election and no-one will care enough after the runoff.
