Today i got an sms on my unlimited contract saying that the contract will be terminated as I did not buy any data on it. Funny they dont send you any reminders during this period when they have taken my money ....

Interesting that the unlimited price is also now increased to R300 from R399...

It was too good to be true. Guess will have to stick with my other existing operator and give them my money!

Yeah they canceled mine for the same reason last month and when I called and spoke to manager saying that I am more than willing to use data, they just need to be clear how much they want me to use as the terms and conditions are not clear on the site they said theres nothing they can do my name is blacklisted on their system from getting another R300 unlimited account and they refused to unblock my current one!I asked the consultant and manager to show me where on their terms and conditions do they mention how much data a customer is suppose to use and they could not show it.

I was also pretty ticked of that they had not sent me any messages to inform me of the situation besides the one to say they were canceling my account, they were adamant that they sent out reminder sms's to clients and now that you have posted this its clear that they lied to me,pathetic company with no professionalism or honesty it seems.

Note: One consultant I spoke to after my account was cancelled mentioned a figure of 300 mb based on my usage, now my argument is simply had I been informed of this I would have gladly loaded a 300mb per month data bundle onto the account but I had absolutely no way of knowing this before they canceled my account.

I went to the site now and see they now have edited their FAIR USAGE POLICY to state a minimum of 50mb needs to be used per month. This was not there before and they canceled my account before informing me of this, that's seriously disgraceful behavior from them.

Yep I had this in a phone that I don't use whatsapp etc on so virtually no data was used maybe just a few kb/mb per month.Worked fine for a few months and then boom I get an SMS stated I have violated their terms and conditions and my account will be suspended(read canceled).

I don't know if they will disappear but this is not how you treat your customers,no communications or warnings at all for a communications company is disturbing.

so they force you t use their service?

hell of a way to treat customers I must say, good you posted about this, as other people will read this and think twice about signing up with them

even myself I was tempted if I get myself a dual sim phone.
but now I think Ill go with FNB contract, 30 r/per month +ebucks and 100MB a month data to use.

maybe something for yourself to consider?

This was just my second phone luckily,my main contract is with Cell C and I pay 75c per minute and I use 300-400 minutes per month so well worth it for me on the chatmore 200 package. So I just went back to using that for most of my calls no big loss to me fortunately, just a loss to them.

Just irritated at the way they treat their customers though,I've never had any of my accounts suspended anywhere at anytime in my life because I always pay on time and never break companies terms and conditions even for internet etc.

These guys don't tell you the terms and conditions clearly in the first place then just cancel without informing you of anything, terrible business behavior.

Yep, good thing I decided to keep this as a second number and test it out for a while. They are useless with their communication.....
