Any of you been to Meat.Etc in Rosebank? They recently opened a new branch in Benmore Gardens and it looks worth trying.

It is basically a boutique butchery and deli/shop/catering service/lunch spot all in one!

Surprised they opened another butchery since the last one closed.

Maybe because this one is a butcher/deli/restaurant, they have higher hopes that it will succeed.

It does look very nice; will go and have a look at their goodies tomorrow.

Just let me know how it is :)

I think the last butcher just had pressure from PnP and woolworths.

Was there yesterday ... not that hot. The pre-packed meat did not look appetising and the "gourmet sandwiches" sells for between R48 and R60. Holy butcher!!

You must be *****ting us? For a sandwich (I don;t care how fancy it is)?

But that's the average price of sandwiches at most restaurants.

I'll be honest and admit I've never had a sandwich at a restaurant before, my experience goes as far as toasted bacon & egg which does not come close to those prices.

Yes, their prices are hectic and thus far, they are always empty when I walk by. Dunno how long they will last.

This centre (Bemore shopping centre) seems to be jinxed - a lot of shops open and close again not too long afterwards - clearly not doing enough market research.
