Mecer 3000w inverter

Does anyone have knowledge of this 3000w inverter? From Geewiz?
This will be purely for battery backup and would like to run my tv/xbox for at least 7 hours. I have tested my w/h consumtion and I use about 290w per hour.

Just a heads up 24V 100ah should almost cover that.

24V X 100Ah = 2400Wh x 0.8 (Efficiancy) = 1920Wh
7h x 290W = 2030Wh

You might wanna look at 4 x 12V 100AH batteries
or 2 x 24V 100AH.

I plan on putting 2 × 12v 100ah batteries in. So 24v 200amp. Someone is offering me there mecer 2400va(1440w) for R5000 with 2 batteries(2nd hand) I'm not sure what to get.

or
2 x 12V 100ah in parallel = 1 x 12V 200ah (2400Wh)

Second hand batteries has about a scrap value of R250 each so you can assess the condition

If not great that is where you start bargaining

Second hand lead acid is scrap value imo , nobody in SA should be wasting their money on lead acid just my 2cents

Keep in mind you can only use 50% of those 100ah so to meet your demand you would need 2 more of them

If buying lithium one set of 100ah will almost do what you want

If batteries go in series the amps don't add up only the volts

and in parallel the amps add up and not the volts
