I'm hoping someone here can tell me what's happening.
I recently disconnected the D-Link wireless router from my parents PC (as I need it for my place) and connected the original modem that I got with the Telkom notebook deal. I'm not sure on the model, but it's a small black Mecer one with a USB port and a phone port (no extra power cables).
Anyways, it seemed to be working fine... until it started disconnecting for no reason. It says 'no dial tone' when it disconnects, but I've got one of those extra 'boxes' (pots filter or something like that?) so that the phone and modem can be connected at the same time.
This is killing me as it keeps disconnecting from the SAIX news server and I'm not there to reconnect it! Any idea why it's doing this? (idle times, or something like that?)
