Greetings there

I need help here guys and most of you are experiences in this way.

The Problem:

Can't connect to the internet.

What happened:

Upgrade on PC => new hardware
Old PC: Windows Vista - the internet worked fine and everything
New PC: Windows Vista - Can't connect into the internet

After a long try I finally got the Drivers installed for the Modem.
Details of Modem: AUS18CX-A
Mecer USB External ADSL 512K Fax / Modem - *ICASA approved (TE-2005/150)

Using Telkom ADSL line and also an Telkom ADSL Account

Can anyone help me with a step by step way to get this fixed and connect to the internet?

I have been struggling for a long time now on this one

Hi . . . I am having the same problem . . Except mine is with Windows7.
I phoned Mecer and they said the dont have a driver for that modem for Windows7 yet. I keep on geting an error 651.
Im not quite sure why you are having problems with Windows Vista though.
My Mecer Aus18cx-A adsl modem was working fine on Vista.
Have You tried downloading the driver from www.mecer.co.za yet and re-installing it ?
Maybe You should uninstall it first and then Reinstall ?.
Ive got Windows7 now . . . it seems to be very stable and fast . . only problem is with drivers with peripheral hardware.
