Upgraded to a Razer Blackwidow 3months or so back, best buy ever. Love the keyboard, totally worth the upgrade.
Steelseries is pretty good, I just don't like the look >_> If I spend R800 on a keyboard it needs to look nice/not like a R40 keyboard. But thats just me
Hell yes. But then it depends what for. Typing will be about 1000x better, games only about twice as good or so. The best thing is probably to read up on the different types of switches, try keyboards out based on them and then buy one. Some such as the MX Blacks are best suited to gaming, and Blues are best for typing but there's not really any one that won't feel good. Another thing to consider is do you want backlit keys, because then your only option is pretty much the Blackwidow Ultimate, or to import a Deck. Decks are awesome but very, very expensive..
Or, just wait for the MyBB hardware troll to show up and tell you that only thing is awesome (coincidentally the one he has) and everything else is complete **** and marketing gimmicks because he knows everything.![]()
I never even realized this even though I bought the Corsair K90 keyboard!I have the Steelseries 7G and love it. Afaik the Corsair K60 and K90 are not fully mechanical they only have mechanical keys for the wasd area. Coolermaster Trigger is really awesome, if I didn't go for the Steelseries I would of gone for the Trigger.
The G-Keys and the F-Keys, ESC, and the Insert through Page Down are key-domes. This was done purposely, both to tune the feel, and also so they could be placed on a lower plane then the main keyboard keys so they are less likely to be hit accidentally.
LOL.
The coolermaster rapid fire pros are also lighted by led lights that light.
I'm not 100% sure of this, but I don't think they manufacture the 6GV2 anymore. But like you said, it is cheaper, almost R400 cheaper, and all you really lack is the palm rest.
