Mede8er and 3G Internet?

Hi All. I just got myself a mede8er bundle. The mede8er, 1 terebyte drive and wireless dongle. I managed to setup the mede8er with my laptop using wireless adhoc mode but cant seem to get the mede8er to use the internet from my laptop. Im using a Vodacom 3G stick.

Is this even possible or does anyone know how to do it?

Another solution might just be to get a router that supports USB modems and make it your internet gateway and AP.

I tried connectify but it doesn't give me the option to share my 3G connection. Its just Wireless and LAN so I tried connecting to the internet using my 3G stick then shared the wireless option but that never worked.
I have another laptop with winXP, does xp not have a embedded feature for this?

@fee.Are you looking to download from the internet and directly transfer data to the media player but you want to do this wirelessly?
