Guys,

I have been searching for an answer but cant seem to find anything.

I want to purchase a Mede8er to replace PS3 Media server - Streaming 1080p is not working for me

Now my question is...I have two playstations, one in the TV room and one in the bedroom. Both are used to stream from PC, if I place the mede8er in the TV room can i still stream to the PS3 in the bedroom through the mede8er?

or would i have to still stream from the PC for the bedroom PS3?
Im only intrested in streaming divx or 720p videos to the bedroom.

AFAIK, the PS3 streams content from a uPnP server only. Since the Mede8er does not have a uPnP server built-in, the answer is no, you won't be able to stream content from your Mede8er. You'll still have to stream from your PC.

Do yourself a gigabit network, and not only can you play 1080p, but ffw and rew, no hassles.

last night it started to mess around on 720p movies :(

Must be my settings.

on 1080p movies the playback will be fine for a half hour or so then it starts to stutter...like watching a youtube clip without buffering.
on the 720p lastnight 5 minutes into the pacific it would play the picture in fast forward but the sound would be normal....annoying as hell.

so it has to be a settings thing :(

I'm running a gigabit network - and find the same - I haven't tried watching a full movie, but find I can't fast forward or rewind HD... (only installed PS3 Media Server yesterday)

Um, not sure of the motherboard, but it's a 2.8 processor or so, and 4 gigs of ram, ddr or something, and windows 7 64bit, and 4 x 1 terrabyte HD's. Not sure if thats ok, i can find out more since my brother put it together.

i think it all depends on the processor, if its quad core or not.
I running Asus P5Q mobo, with 3ghz core2duo CPU, 4GB ddr2 1066 Ram, win7 64bit 2 x 1 TB drives.

It would seem like the buffer just runs out, can you take some scrren dumps of your ps3 server settings? maybe i have missed something there :(
