Currently I use my Samsung Smart TV to watch UK channels and I use plex/hard drives to watch other tv shows.
At the end of this month, I am moving to the States. Part of this move means I will be staying in hotels here in South Africa for about 5-10 days and then another 7 days or so when I get to New York.
What I am after is a media player ideally with hard drive or the ability to play stuff from a hard drive via usb. Also it needs to have UK televison channel apps, wifi and the ability to change dns settings on it.
Normally I would use my laptop but the Nvidia GFX card in it has broken and it runs the intergrated intel graphics instead. Because of the nvidia card not working, all the fans that were controlled by the Nvidia card now go full pelt and make a racket. I cant turn the fans down as the controller is linked to the nvidia card and the bios is locked.
Any ideas? If so, where can I buy? I am in Pretoria for most of this month and probably in Cape Town towards the end of this month.
