I came across the following figure during lockdown that showed a media navigator of sort for the US media and the type of Bias that they push.
I always knew that the media pushes either a conservative or a liberal bias and that they do this do speak to the prejudices of their readers, but I never considered that a lot of it depends on their stance of power.
The Wall street Journal and Washington post for example push a very intellectual narrative, but they are both left and right wing respectively, but they tend to be very close to power.
As you tend to get away from the power axis, the media turns into conspiracy theory. The Corbett Report and Antiwar.com being the most obvious. The media also tend to be more opinion based and less fact based.
I would like to see an equivalent for the SA media if anyone can find me one.
