Need some advice,
I am on the Momentum Heath plan Incentive and am paying R2028-00 per month.

What I am finding is the amount of savings is a joke and I usually use it quite soon say for example if you have flu, that can take it all out, with doctors and meds.

I am looking at changing plans or going back to Discovery Classic Comprehensive or something similar.

Any suggestions that cover a large amount of day to day?

Thanks guys

My Keycare plan with discovery dont have savings. I can go to the doctor as often as I want, but it has restrictions. Can only get generics I think. Also limited in the the doctors you can go to. Has to be in network. I very seldom get sick anyway, and the doctor I go to is in Sandton City which is fine by me.....though he is a ginger, so I have to drink two shots of J&B before going to him so that I dont cringe when he touches me. :p

Why you getting so sick? You need someone to look after you ..... just saying .... wink wink.

I'm also on Keycare and their day to day benefits work very nicely but their hospital benefits aren't as nice as the better plans. I was looking at upgrading my plan but looking at the others, keycare plus actually still looks like its the better option for a young, reasonably healthy person. Actually, there is nothing wrong with the actual hospital benefits - I would just like a wider variety of hospitals to choose from

Ja, the only hospitals I can really go to that is not on the other side of the world is Roseacres and Kirstenhoff Life hospitals. I had my appendix out in Roseacres, and even though it is in what appeared to be a bit of a dodge area, I was very happy with the hospital. Well, after the booking in process was finally fcking finished and I got my shot in the arse of Pethidine. I was curled up on their reception floor basically in pain while my sister was booking me in, but they would not give me anything untill I was booked in and my medical aid details verified etc.

But other than that, I was happy with them. Staff was a lot friendlier than the staff that my sister had with her meningitis in Sunninghill Netcare hospital.

Well everything I ever needed has been covered - CAMAF

O sorry and it's for myself, wife and 3 kids. 1 is free :p

Hahah not bad for a whole family then! Will most likely be joining CAMAF too one of these days so for now I'll stick it out with Discovery. Don't really have complaints about them though.

Its just for me 1 x person.
Dont smoke, dont drink etc etc

Only reason I have a medical aid is because of the family. If it was me only. Hospital plan at 300% and would have paid everything else cash.

So nobody can actually say what plan to go with on Momentum or Discovery?

Looks like the executive on Discovery is the best and only R1000-00 more

Save your money. Go classic delta and get GAP cover - Medvest is a good option.
