Hi guys
Please could you share your thoughts on a good medical aid that I may get my mom on.

Currently she is with momentum at a rate which is like R4700.

Please advise on a cheaper medical aid or plan. I am basically looking for private hospital cover with medical savings. Her age is 67 and she does have two chronic conditions and in remission from cancer for about 7 years

I have been leaning towards Discovery Coastal Saver(due to being in Durban) but dont know if thats the right move. I am also willing to take out a gap cover and have been advised to go with Liberty

i just feel there is so much of jargon when taking out medical aid that its as if they want to catch you out on it

Alternatively, does anyone know a good broker who can advise?

Thanks guys

Have you checked Bonitas? My parents are both with Bonitas and very happy with it.

Please get in touch with Bonitas asap i am sure your premiums won't be that high.Good luck!

Does anyone know what the requirements would be to have an elderly parent added as a dependant on one's own medical aid?
