Medical Claim Question

Hi Everyone,

I have a small medical bill which I still have to pay from 2009. My medical Savings account for 2009 didn't have any money left so that bill was never paid. Since it's a new year, I have my full MSA balance, so can I pay my doctor and then submit the receipt to my medical aid to claim it back?

If its less than 3 months, then ask the doctor to re-submit the claim to your medical Aid. If the Treatment date is older than three months then the Medial Aid won't pay and you will liable for payment.

They look at treatment date, and will reimburse according to the year of the treatment date, if I'm not mistaken.
