Meet the world's fastest car

Specialist British carmaker Ultima has set a new world record claiming its GTR is the "fastests supercar in the world". And there is some justification in this claim.

Another record that tumbled was the 0-60 mph (about 96 km/h), which the GTR did in just 2.6 seconds.

Am I wrong or did the Ariel Atom not do the 0-100 in 2.3 seconds?

Nope the Ariel Atom is claimed 0-100 in 2.8sec for the Supercharged version.

The Ultima is not the world fastest car. It is however the world fastest car from 0-160km/h and back to 0.

The Bugatti Veyron does 0-100km/h in 2.46sec and is currently the fastest car in the world.

EDIT - Just for future reference. Wheels24 is not the best source for car info. They usually make some sort of mistake.

Actually the Atom with the supercharger is only around R330 000

The Veyron is way more than just 10 Atoms. I do think the Atom would make an awesome toy. Safer and faster than most bikes.

LOL I would do that for sure. I wonder what it would be like to drive an Atom at its limit .
