MEGA 100 WR

Hi

Can someone please help.

Has a Zyxel router that works fine but wants wireless connection and got a MEGA 100wr from a friend.

All lights on mega is lit-up, including dsl and internet. But when I plugg ethernet cable into my computer it gives "limited or no connection" message.

When I go run-cmd-ipconfig it does not give a default gateway and says at bottom "media disconnected"

When putting 10.0.0.2 inro browser it does not connect.

I've tried the cd that comes with it an once it starts checking DSL etc it gives error message saying that I should chech ethernet connection and power on router. That is all fine as I used different cables and it is fine with my other router.

I've now done the same with a different mega 100 and I get all of the same responses.

Can somebody please help?

Sounds like cable issue! Also try and do a hard reset of the router.

The router is not issuing IP addresses, which means it could have been previously used in bridge mode.

Do a reset - the button is on the back by the power switch.

Make sure that you enable DHCP server on the Mega 100WR.

How does your setup look at this moment?
eg. Telkom <-> Mega 100WR <-> WiFi & LAN to PC's?
