I've had adsl and a Mega 100WR router for about 2 months now, and had no or very few problems with it. But about a week ago I installed IIS, SQL server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005, and since then I've had endless problems. My PC is set to a static address, which the router reserves for me, and I am sharing the network with two other pcs set to dynamically allocate addresses.
Every time the ADSL connection does its 24 hour reset, suddenly my pc is unable to access the router at all. I cannot ping it, access it's setup panel, access the internet, ect.
If I attempt to repair my 'network connection' using the windows options, nothing happens. If I set my pc to dynamically acquire an address, it cannot find the DCHP to do so. The only recourse I've found is to either reset my pc, or reset the router.
I can't understand how IIS may be affecting my router... can anyone else help?
EDIT: And mine is the only PC affected by the problem. The other pcs can all access the router just fine.
